Guzaarish Box Office

Starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, Guzaarish is a film that is far from the usual comic capers that have been the flavor of this festive season. A series of rib tickling films have been released on the public reeling under the fervor of Diwali, Eid and Dusshera.

But in the midst of movies like Golmaal 3 and Replayy Action Guzaarish is like a fish out of water with its appeal intensely emotional and moving. However, Guzaarish has managed to do what the previous films, has not satisfied critics mightily.

And that explains why the box office of this film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is picking up fast. Guzaarish had a slow start this Friday, November 19 and got held up surprisingly lower than expected. In some multiplexes, the occupancy rate was as low as 25-30%.

But after the positive word of mouth advertising started flying from ear to ear, film fans are arriving in huge numbers. This explains why Friday night shows relatively well.

On Saturday companies had flourished and is expected to be recorded on Sunday, heavy footsteps. Furthermore, no other Bollywood film in competition (with the exception of two week old Golmaal 3), Guzaarish looks set to rule this week.
